Lucky, not 'suay'

Ever had those days that everything seems to go wrong?

Me and cactus were shrouded with 'suayness' since tuesday.

I shall not go into details since it was narrated in cactus' blog.

We were glad that amidst the suayness, there were little blessings that we two may have failed to notice earlier during our moments of anger.

- It was lucky that our colleague, Kitty was going to CGH as well to visit her sis-in-law and she gave us a ride to the hospital.

- It was lucky that we did not buy tonics and fruit basket as we felt that danny might not be able to consume them because of his condition.

- It was lucky that the patient occupying danny's bed was wheeled in after a short while. We might be waiting till after visiting hours as we thought that he was in the examination room.

- It was lucky that we had the fishhead steamboat for dinner instead of the sinful cuttlefish kangkong and chay kway teow. It was definitely a healthier choice.

- It was lucky that hubbie managed to avoid the accident in the ECP in time.

- It was lucky the bird poo did not drop onto us but only on our food

We are lucky not suay!

Aunties and market

19 Sept 06

Had dinner with my colleagues from the other offices at "Central" cafe at Takashimaya.

Met up shervon 1st and mighty mike joined us shortly.

We had a helluva fun bitchin' about those whom we dun really like in our workplace...

black mama..CKM...coconut lady and many more..

Mighty mike and me must have been arch-enemies or maybe we fought over the same guy in our previous lives...( I m presuming he's a gal in his previous life).

We could not stop bickering and 'insulting' each other. I can't believe I m using the same model of hp as him! eeeks!

Mighty mike and me did something really 'auntie'.

We were walking past Kalms' and I pointed to him a cute cow's coin bank.

I had expected his reaction to be of a typical guy's reaction as in "Nice meh?" or just a simple "Yah, quite cute."

But to my surprise, he said in his most 'auntie' manner, " I saw this at centrepoint, selling at $24.90. They are selling the cheapest there."

My instant reaction was "You so sure its cheaper there meh?"

"Sure, wanna bet? They must be selling this at about $30 plus." he smugly replied.

"Ok, let's go in and take a look."

We saw the coin banks and the salesperson was standing next to them.

The salesperson started his sales talk,

"This is a new product. We are selling it at a low introductory price of $26.90. You can't find such prices in other places. We are charging the lowest."

I looked at mighty mike in amusement and started talking like a 'auntie',

"I dun tink your shop's is the cheapest. My fren here saw this coin bank going at $24.90 each only."

"Cannot be. Must be of a different design." the salesperson argued.

Then mighty mike aka 'Auntie' of the 'aunties' and bitch of the bitches stepped up and retorted,

"It's the exact same design I saw at John Little at Centrepoint and they are really selling at $24.90. Dun believe, go see yourself."

At this point of time, embarassed shervon was finding a hole to hide herself. She did not want to be associated with the two 'aunties'.

Then Mike and me left the shop, leaving the clueless, hapless salesperson wondering what had just happened.

Lucky for shervon, sabby arrived and saved her from the two 'aunties'.

Then we proceeded to sample the mooncakes at the mooncake bazaar at taka where we managed to continue our yakking as we walked thru' the bazaar crowd. Then we sat ourselves at kopi bean for some more bitchin'.

It was a fun gathering, I dun tink I have ever tok so much within such a short period of time with this group of people. It's like a mini-market. That's what you get when you put 4 PR persons together!

I m looking forward to the next one, guys!

The day when it rained

It rained.

I heard the funeral procession beyond the windows of my room.

It was no ordinary funeral procession.

The music of the procession was not loud, it was sad, just very sad...

It was my colleague's funeral procession.

I saw him alive and even talked to him 3 days ago before he collapsed and went into coma.

He was declared braindead and he was pulled off from his life support system.

We were all very shocked and very sad.

Very, very sad.....

I was advised not to attend his funeral wake as I just got married.

It was bright and clear at 1.30pm when I came back to office.

Then it started to rain.

His funeral procession was at 2pm.

My other colleagues who went to his funeral procession,

Came back drenched with red, tearful eyes.

They fought back tears but to no avail.

Tears welled up in my eyes, I felt very sad.

The heaven is crying too,

For the loss of a good, kind man.

Choo, it is our fortune to have you as our colleague.

May you rest in peace.

So pissed ~

That's exactly how I feel now.

Before the press release on the project was sent out, I have questioned 'them' the feasibility of the project. 'They' say "Sure, everything can be done."

Those bootlickers...

'They' dared not question the feasibility of the project proposed by the leader.

But then again, I was only in charge of drafting the press release. So I sent it out.

I got a response from the press. I was happy and I thought my job was done.

Now we have to show the press the things promised in the project.

It was then I got dragged into the shithole.

Suddenly, I was responsible for the things promised in the project.

I was seen to be the one 'pushing' for all the things promised in the project to be done.

It did not help at all when 'they' pushed responsibilities to and fro.

'They' made me get involved with every decision made in the project, saying that 'they' need a PR angle.

'They' are beginning to blame me when 'they' find that they could not deliver what was promised.

What I did was to make sure my job is done, to do up the press release and get response from the press.

"They" had gone through the release and agreed to it.

Now 'they' are beginning to find reasons to say that the project is not feasible.

And its going to look as if it was my fault....

so pissed.....

No more foxytyrannies!

The long awaited day has come.

No more foxytyrannies!

Fox has left the village on her own accord, or shall I say, coz of her own stupidity?

She could not afford to fail and she thought she has left with people remembering her great deeds.

But how wrong she was, as folks rejoice and celebrate her departure.

It was the end of foxytyrannies!

For months and years, she tortured the folks with her demands and insincerity.

It was a relief!

No more disgusting display of 'tripod' skills!

Where is she now, you ask....

She is now a little lackey under the folks' former village chief, who is now the great leader of the east

It was a sweet retribution, I say.

Let's celebrate! :D

Me fat and out of shape?

Warning: A burst of emotions ahead. Beware of strong and evil words used. If you are a kind soul or believe that I m perfect, do not proceed to read further as you may be disappointed in me....

Are there times you felt frustrated with a person but you could not do anything about him/her becoz revenge is sweet but bad for your karma?

Someone in the place I work, let's call her Pimply Big Head (PBH) has recently commented to one of my fren that someone commented to her that I look fat and out of shape, like I ve given birth!

Confusing?

Let me explain...PBH is saying that someone else said bad things about me (she refused to tell my fren who was that) and being the 'good samaritan', she told my fren about it.
She is a BITCH!

She jolly well know that my fren would come and tell me all that! She did that on purpose!

There are a lot of people who are not skinny/ slim in my office, and I would not be considered as fat in my office. Damn! The comments were deliberately directed to me.

For all we know, PBH may be the mystery person who gave the bad comments. She should examine herself in the mirror before giving this type of comments! She is almost 40, not married, has a pimply scarred face and her chest is flat like an airport runway!

(ok, control.... I m getting really bitchy here...)

Revenge is sweet and I yearn to tell her best fren this,

"Did you see PBH recently? Someone commented that her skin condition is getting worse. She looked like Li Guohuang from far and the moon from near! Oh dear...." coupled with the "I sympathized with her" look...

But I did not.

Simply because I m not like her. I m not a scheming bitch like her!

Maybe I m more of a bitch than her coz I broadcast this on internet. ha!

Maybe she is not the one and some else did pass such comments to her....and I would only suspect a few old guys...

I hope they get retribution with people passing comments about their lack of height, lack of depth, lack of hair and lack of brains...

Wait a minute, people have been passing comments about them already!

Brainless dorks and bitch...

They earn so much more than me, and they spend their time bitching about me...watda f@#$!!

So angry!

But there is nothing I can do!!!!

But I just hope that she and the mystery person receive negative comments about themselves...

Anyway, I was not really hurt by their comments as I know that I may look fat but I m definitely not out of shape..those dumb, crazy people may be jealous and envious of my voluptuous figure, hahaha!

ok, I m getting silly now..

Foxtyrannies - Her ways and means

The fox trotted besides the village head as he waved to the crowd.
To get close to him, the fox tried ways and means.
Crying out loud for help like damsel in distress,
and all these to make him feel like a hero.
Carrying his water bag and make sure all his needs are taken care of,
just like the maid i have at home
Those lackeys close to him have their feet kissed by her,
so that they could put in a good word or two for her.
Pledging her loyalty and offering her support whenever the opportunity arises,
But liitle did he know that she was not sincere and she would run away in fear if he is in trouble.
Villagers who follow her and degrade themselves like her,
will stand to gain wealth.
Those who refuse to bow to her,
had their titles stripped.
But they firmly held onto their one and only hope....
that one day, the village head would no longer be in power,
and the fox would eat her humble pie

Foxytrannies - Surviving the earthquake :damn!

Sly cunning fox seem to be popular and well-liked by many. But not in the eyes of those who worked with her.

Her story of becoming a village chief in quick sucession was like Cinderella story except that she was a cunning fox and she is no kind soul, nowhere near cinderella.

She rose from rags to riches and she has a fairy godfather to thank for.
Of all skills that she honed (not many skills she had though), she specialises in "tripod" skills. To her it was her survival skill. She would not have survive in this harsh world without her specialty skill coupled with stupid buggers who fell for her tripod charms....
Whenever fox perform her tripod skills, all villagers cuddled together and cringed. It was so fake and unsincere.
The villagers prayed for a great earthquake which would disperse the village and hopefully they could escape the clutches of the fox and could see light once again...
Alas, the tremors of the earthquake was imminent and the ground was shaken.
The village was not torn apart; it became BIGGER!
Horrors! It's a tragedy to the villagers...The fox's harem just got bigger...Her cockiness and ego just grew bigger...Poor villagers just got poorer at the instance the tremors of earthquake hit home....
The villagers might not see light for the next five years as they succumb to the fox's treacherous control......
To be continued.....

Silly Great Earthquake

This coming Great Earthquake is driving me nuts....

Frankly, all the crap about "We do not just do all these during this period (when the big day is looming)", I m sick of hearing/ seeing such crap on news...

Sure, all these blk visits, town days are not events out of the ordinary, it's just that these events suddenly sprout out after 5 years of indormancy....

True enough and I agree that you guys have these events all along but hell, its not every month you have 5 town days and almost every other week, there is a press invite from me to the press!

I m sure the staff of the various media's news desks are getting sick of my faxes, emails and my calls....actualli, I m sick of calling them too.

The Great Earthquake to me, is nothing more than a ostentatious, ridiculous PR competition...Who gets the most publicity wins the votes!

It's silly to see many political honchos bragging about what they have done for the community...what's the point?

I tink its not just the Great Earthquake in S'pore, Earthquakes everywhere else in the world are just....sigh....plain silly.

If I were a voter, I would be like most S'poreans, vote for the incumbent but complain like hell about them....

PS: Clumzcat - you are still in EC GRC...if EC is contested (high chance it will be contested), you would need to vote...You will only know if its contested or not on nomination day...When is nomination day? No one knows yet. But people are guessing that it would be in late april..Once parliament is dissolved, the nomination day would be near. I will keep you posted if you are required to vote and when to vote :)

Foxtyrannies - The story

Once upon a time, the world was made up of villages with people and beasts living in harmony.

Once in every 5 years, bolts of lightening would strike, followed by a terrible earthquake.

Some villages were escaped the quake unharmed, while others were destroyed and the deserted villagers were left to roam with no place to go.

Alas, there was a gleam of hope, for those with no place to go.

New villages were formed, and the roamers were settled down in these new villages.

From the different villages, the roamers brought with them skills and customs unique to them.

In one of the new villages, there were conflicts and fights. But there was just the beginning.

Things did not change for the better as the village head was a hungry man. He craved for more food and made the villagers work hard for him. Things became worse as the village head start to pick on the village chief who was the leader and caretaker of welfare of the villagers.

Trouble was brewing in the north and somewhere in the east, a cunning fox waited patiently for its chance to shine.

Alas, a catastrophe happened.

By chance, cunning fox travelled to the north and took over as village chief. She was more concerned about her fur than matters of the village. She spent all of her time and effort carrying the village head on a pedestral and forgotten all about her villagers' suffering.

What happened to the village chief? - He fell from grace but was resurrected from the depths as he was a true leader and a hero in the eyes of the villagers.

- Foxtyrannies to be continued....

If I were to torture a fox, I would skin her out of her precious fur and throw her out in the cold...eeks...sounds cruel? yah I also tink so..but I feel like doing that sometimes... :P
